Venue — Camden Opera House
Camden Civic Theatre is fortunate to have an incredible home: The Historic Camden Opera House. Almost all of our shows are performed in this amazing venue, with comfortable seating, heat in winter and air conditioning in summer. There is an elevator for handicapped access.
The Opera House is located on Route 1 (29 Elm St.), in the center of town in Camden, Maine. It is across the street from the town park and in the same building as the town offices. The building is a three-story historic brick structure and “Camden Opera House” appears above the arched doorway in gilded golden letters.
From the south: Take I-95 North to exit 22 to the Brunswick/Bath/Coastal Route 1 exit (Exit 22). Stay on Route 1 all the way into Camden.
From the north: Take Route 1 South from Belfast past the library into downtown Camden. The Opera House will be on the second block on your right after you bear right at the main intersection in downtown.
Parking: On-street parking is available on Elm St. (Route 1), Chestnut St., Washington St. and behind the Opera House after normal working hours. On-street parking is free, with no time limit after 5 PM.
The Opera House’s phone number is: 207-236-7963
